This year my wife and I have declared that this is the year of Great Things. This is the year that God wants to do great things in the lives of His people. In order for the greater to operate in your life there must be a commitment. What is commitment? Commitment is defined as the act of binding oneself to a course of action or to a cause; the trait of sincere and steadfast fixity of purpose. I want to suggest that our commitment to God-with all our heart, soul, and might-is a small thing to ask as long as it is an expression of our mutual love. Commitment is the showing of your love towards Christ. This concept seems to be a vanishing trait in today's society. People are not committed to anything or anyone, other than themselves. And God is looking for more. The one area that God showed me that people have gotten away from is worship. The concept of worship has been misused, misunderstood, and overlooked in todays church. And people have gotten away from the true meaning of what worship is. Worship is a lifesyle. It is something that you do daily. It's how you operate. It's what you do. Worship is the showing of my affection to God. If I say I love God. I want to spend all of my time with Him. If I say I love God I want to share special moments with Him. And in my worship I find out who I am. Worship comes in many different forms: meditation, reading the Word of God, praying, church gathering, etc. In doing all of these you find out what God's purposeis for your life. I find out who I am. Psalms 1 says,"I meditate day and night on the laws of God." Romans 12:1-2 explains,"When I worship Christ I can find out what God's will is for my life. It is our prayer that you worship God and continue to seek God for your purpose. You seek God for your destiny. It's never to early and guess what it's never to late. You can be a teenager or you can have reached that golden age. You can still find out what God has in store for you. Just like our theme scripture for the year says,"Eyes have not seen, Ears have not heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him." (1st Corinthians 2:9) Love God and Be Empowered!
